Dancing and tiramisu

After a stressful bout of writing my geopolitics class response paper, i finished it up and submitted it to my lecturer before heading for school for the lecture - its the first time i can enjoy the lecture properly without worrying about datelines. If i may say it, I will rate the geopolitics module as the hardest level 1000 i have taken.

What is geopolitics, you may ask? The way news and mass media (movies, books, songs etc) convey their ideas to us about events in places and spaces (e.g. Iraq war, Vietnam war, Gaza Strip in Palestine and Israel, Bosnia, Cyprus division) is geopolitical. The decision to go to war or not is geopolitical. Diplomacy is geopolitical and so on.Really complex but this module has certainly widened my thoughts about spaces, places, mass media, speeches of politicians and many more. And made me more politically aware and CRITICAL. Very helpful but what a headache to study for exams. :(

Anyway, i had a really good evening yesterday to relax a bit before starting on my Learning Portfolio assignments (i have 11 full pages of reflections to do because i've been procrastinating, which means i got to do 2-3 pieces of work a day. arrCks. I'm so dead because it will be mentally draining to squeeze some good reflections on Environmental Sustainability)

My bf Nopp came to my school yesterday and i got him to try my favourite food from the arts canteen - Japanese set meal and laksa yong tau foo. We ordered a set each, my favourite is my Unagi-Chicken Tamgo set and he tried the seafood tempura set. $4/ set with 3 jelly, a whole lot of meat, japanese rice, coleslaw and miso soup. I love school food, cheap and good and substantial! I kept harping on how nice laksa yong tau foo is so we went to buy a bowl to share... ;)

Then it was dancing at Leng Kee CC. Huge hall but it's a sports hall so the floor is not parquet but still, it's sufficient and smooth enough for dancing. Practiced Viennese Waltz and recalled the whole Waltz routine (havent danced waltz for 1-1.5 years already) amazingly, recalled a very little bit of Cha Cha and Rumba. I think dancing is the best exercise ever and i feel so alive whenever i can dance, its this really amazing feeling. :D

We bought some durains back to his place to share with his family, and i made a tiramisu! First time attempt and i followed this really simple recipe on Youtube from a chinese variety program!

It turns out really well though i substitutes fresh cream for whipping cream, and plain pudding for chocolate pudding, and chocolate sponge cake for coffee sponge cake from Sara Lee as chocolate is sold out!

I just tried it today and it tastes amazing!!!!!! :D But to make 8-9 cups like those shown, it had cost me $15 excluding sugar and chocolate powder. I should have taken a picture of it but i gobbled it up before i remembered, will take a picture next time. Love it, i can finally make something!
