F1 fatigue and some pictures!

I've been hanging out at F1 on Fri and Sat qualifying rounds. An exciting experience yes, but completely tiring. How much can one smile and chatter with so many strangers/clients? It is tiring work but its part of the job - PR. Besides, we are the host. Here are some pictures for those who haven't seen the inside of such events.

"Village" area where spectators and guests mingle when the tracks are quiet.

See the tall structures? That's where the corporate Sky Suites are.

To get up, we can either climb the stairs or take the makeshift lift. Not too bad, the lifts are quite fun to ride on, and are half manual. Lift doors are opened manually by people. I feel like i'm in a crate when I am inside.

A quick picture before going up! All pictures taken on 26 Sept-Qualifying rounds.

I have videos of the inside of the suite and all, and here are some screengrabs.

What we see from our balcony

One of the races..

Cars lining up

And..GO!Dusty, aren't they?

The sky/roof garden with fake tufts of grass.
A lovely breezy area to chill above the suites with free flow of drinks

And music. And drum beats, as well as jazz
Sunset from the sky area
And lastly, a picture with a client

PS: I love my job, most of the time. But when work gets tough and tiring (like smiling and entertaining people/strangers for 2 days), i complain. Yet at the end, i feel really blessed to be with such a good company with lovely colleagues and a nice boss. It's when you remember these things that you think..it is all worth it :)

:(

Today's a bad day when i have the feeling that i really hate my job because it is all overwhelming me, causing me to doubt myself, causing me to stress myself and unable to be happy or take my mind off it.

I admit that I can be quite blur and I can be forgetful, and slower to comprehend when some things are so new, or people don't make themselves clear.

When people ask, I'll say that all is good. Which is true sometimes, sometimes i feel accomplished, i feel like I did things correctly that day. But some days I don't. Like today. Boss called me early in the morning to ask me about some things (he is often overseas on work trips) and at first i couldn't remember what he was talking about... I just couldn't with so many things going on with different clients until after an extremely long pause... at last, i took out my stack of X client notes and remembered.

"I really need you to comprehend, it is your accounts. You have to handle it." X many times.

ANYWAY, there is no use complaining. Sometimes people are just on different wavelengths. And some people, like me, cannot think properly when I am really stressed.

Have to stop thinking like that, it's just a job not my life. I shouldn't let it affect my self-esteem and personal life. There ARE more things to life than this. But I have to pray for wisdom and a earnest heart to work for God.

PS: There are so many bdays going on I'm growing weary of it. 6 friends + 1 grandma birthday. I am afraid of September now..

PPS: I am clueless about what it is now.

birthdays

September babies are numerous but most importantly, many of my good friends are among those! so it's going to be a busy birthday celebrating month for me, racking up ideas and presents for my treasured friends, hoping they will be happy and feel special! :)

Anyway, i write so little now it scares me sometimes. It's not that there is nothing to write, there are loads but i always seem too busy to write them! Urks. And maybe i'm afraid it will reach the wrong people.

But in summary, all is good.

cheers,
