This year, Valentine's Day is a really unusual one for me. I received a huge bouquet of roses and tulips in the morning (thank you dear!) but for the rest of the day, i kind of spent it alone and with my family.
I can finally understand a bit of how singles on this day must have felt as you see lovebirds holding hands and looking so happy on the streets. Though i don't fancy the whole flowers-chocolate-bear thingy with huge heart shapes plastered everywhere, the retailers must be laughing their day away, happy. I appreciate the thought though, it's sweet but maybe if somebody really want to romance you, they need to be more creative than that.
Oh yes, and in case you don't know why i spent today alone instead of being whisked away by my boyfriend to some romantic dinner, it's because... we have become exes. Since one week and a day ago. We remain good friends who really care about each other, and we do still love each other alot, but it is not enough to keep us happy in the future because of our differing needs in a relationship.
Sigh, anyway! On a happier note, i heard this a few days ago:
"If i do not have a job, i will want to be a taxi driver"
"Why?" (laughing)
"So that i can drive you around wherever you want to go"
Why am i amused? Because his job probably pays at least 5 times more than what a taxi driver gets.
